Update v.0.02: PERKS UPDATE!


Slayers, Decimators, and Gutters of Loyalist forces! A new update is here!

And with it comes a brand new collection of Perks, a new enemy and some fixes that allow you to bring death and destruction to your foes in new and exciting ways! Read further for more detailed changes. Or just jump straight into the game, and discover it by yourself!

Added perks system!

Choose special perks after certain waves to alter your builds! Perks will boost Baba Yaga in a specific way, creating a plethora of possible ways to decimate those pesky loyalist forces! After certain waves (and at the beginning) you will be offered a 1 out 3 choice of perks. Remember! You will not be offered the same option again, so choose wisely! :) 

New perks:

  • Cruelty: 30% more dmg to debuffed enemies
  • Hunt Your Prey: Deal armor piercing damage to isolated enemies (not adjacent to others)
  • Potent Toxins:  DOT increased by 50%
  • A Dish Served Cold:  Debuffs last 1 turn longer
  • Vengeful Mirror: Return 50% damage to attacking enemies
  • Opportunist: You can store 1 unused mana point each turn
  • Focused Emotions: Increase damage by 1 for each spell from the same domain cast this turn
  • Embrace the Darkness: Increase damage by 25% if previously cast spell was from a different domain
  • Shell: Get 30 points of armor
  • Explosive Mania: AOE spells are 1 mana cheaper
  • Chain of Thoughts: Adds additional target to AOE spells
  • Knife through Butter: Frontmost-targeting spells may target any enemy now
  • Swirling Temper: Hatred spells get 200% damage bonus. Reduce Hatred spells damage by half each time a spell is cast. Bonuses reset each turn.
  • Masked Pain: Each sorrow spell cast gives you 5 points of temporary shield that last for 1 turn
  • Gleeful Retribution: Spite spells restore 10 HP when dealing damage
  • Spreading Corruption: When an enemy dies, they spread debuffs on adjacent enemies
  • Flesh Wounds: Add 3 damage to all spells
  • Aid from Hell: Increase damage by 25%

New enemy!

A new loyalist is after Baba Yaga’s hide! A newly added Priest is a support character that sticks to the back line and does not pose a threat by themselves… but has a powerful ability, ‘Hand of God’! Each turn, a Priest will cast a barrier on the frontmost enemy that’s not barrier-ed already. Barrier mitigates the first spell damage that an enemy would receive. Barrier lifts after the first damage absorption.

New enemies:

  • Priest
    • HP/Armor/Block: 5 / 0 / 0
    • Damage/Range: 2/15
    • Movement points: 3
    • Special skill: Hand of God


Other changes:

Most notably, we increased cost of AOE spells, to keep them more balanced especially after adding certain perks like Chain of Thoughts or Explosive Mania.

  • Added indicators for chosen perks
  • Added popup info for chosen perks
  • Baba Yaga’s armor is now indicated better (although it will still need some love)
  • Added integer scaling in place of keep-aspect-scaling for proper representation of pixel-art in game
  • Fixed inconsistent wording of HATE and HATRED
  • Spell changes:
    • Fog of War
      • Cost 3 -> 4
    • Seething Fury:
      • Cost 2 -> 3
  • Added some new bugs and glitches
